The Pieve is looked after by the Carli Simone Association, set up in 2008. All 60 of its members live in the surrounding area. The association has worked for years to protect and support the precious local heritage and has organised a large number of promotional events and activities. It has always been involved with social causes and runs a community centre in the nearby village of Pieve di Brancoli, which has become a point of reference for all the local inhabitants. Volunteers take care of the maintenance and preservation of the building, organise guided tours and are currently fundraising for urgently needed roof repairs. Their input is also crucial for the safeguarding of the works conserved in the Pieve, which was robbed of its valuable 11th century holy water stoup in 2000. Various fundraising activities are currently in hand, geared to making safe and restoring the building. Further information can be found on the dedicated page.
